Idaho 2025-26 Season in Review

Brendan Hoffmann emerged as Idaho’s premier goal scorer. Hoffmann led the Steelheads in goals while also contributing significant assists, making him one of the league’s most complete offensive threats and a central driver of Idaho’s attack.
Kaleb Pearson and Liam Malmquist provided elite finishing support. Both players combined high goal totals with strong assist production, giving Idaho multiple forwards capable of both creating and finishing scoring chances.
Ty Pelton-Byce stood out as the team’s primary playmaker. Pelton-Byce posted one of the highest assist totals on the roster while still contributing double-digit goals, reflecting his importance in driving puck movement and offensive setup.
The Steelheads received strong secondary scoring depth throughout the lineup. Francesco Arcuri, Jade Miller, Robbie Holmes, and Angus MacDonell all produced balanced offensive numbers, helping Idaho maintain scoring pressure across multiple lines.
Defensemen contributed more through puck movement than finishing. Charlie Dodero and Connor Punnett posted respectable assist totals from the blue line, while overall offensive production remained heavily driven by Idaho’s deep and skilled forward group.

Idaho paired elite offense with solid defensive play. The Steelheads finished well above league average offensively while remaining almost exactly league average defensively, placing them among the ECHL’s stronger all-around teams on the Team Identity Map.
Brendan Hoffmann, Liam Malmquist, and Kaleb Pearson formed one of the league’s most productive offensive cores. All three forwards produced near or above 50 points while posting strong positive plus/minus ratings, highlighting both scoring ability and effective two-way play.
The Steelheads featured impressive offensive depth throughout the lineup. Francesco Arcuri, Ty Pelton-Byce, Jade Miller, and the Dodero brothers all contributed meaningful production, giving Idaho multiple scoring threats across all forward lines and even from the blue line.
Several key contributors paired offense with strong possession results. Players such as Liam Malmquist, Kaleb Pearson, Francesco Arcuri, and Brendan Hoffmann all combined high point totals with positive plus/minus numbers, reflecting Idaho’s ability to control play at even strength.
Goaltending was anchored by Ben Kraws’ heavy workload and Arno Tiefensee’s efficiency. Kraws handled the majority of shots and wins for Idaho, while Tiefensee posted the stronger save percentage in more limited action, giving the Steelheads both reliability and efficiency in net.
