The SeeSports NFL Watchability Index helps fans identify the most compelling games each week before kickoff. Using betting market expectations and preseason team projections, each matchup receives a Watchability Index based on three factors: projected team quality (40%), expected competitiveness (30%), and projected scoring (30%).
Games in the upper-left of the chart are generally expected to provide the best combination of close competition and offensive excitement. Use the Viewing Board to decide which game deserves the main screen—and which matchups belong on your second and third screens throughout the weekend.

The NFL season is here, and the SeeSports Watchability Index provides a guide to which Week 1 games offer the most attractive combination of team quality, expected competitiveness, and scoring potential.
The Week 1 rankings are led by San Francisco at Los Angeles, with the 49ers–Rams matchup earning an Index score of 66.0. The game combines two quality teams with a relatively close point spread and a healthy projected total, giving Thursday night the highest-rated matchup of the opening week.
Tampa Bay at Cincinnati (64.7) ranks second and features the highest projected total among the Week 1 games, making it one of the weekend's most appealing choices for viewers looking for offense. Buffalo at Houston (63.3) follows closely in third, while the NFL's Wednesday night opener between New England and Seattle (63.0) ranks fourth.
The Sunday schedule offers several other highly rated choices. Baltimore at Indianapolis (62.9) gives the early window another strong option, while Green Bay at Minnesota (62.4) leads the Sunday late-afternoon choices. Dallas at the New York Giants (62.0) combines one of Week 1's smallest point spreads with a relatively high projected total, helping make it the highest-rated Sunday night option. Denver at Kansas City (61.4) rounds out the Index's Top 8 and provides a strong Monday night matchup.
The chart also helps illustrate why games rank where they do. Games farther to the left are expected to be more competitive, games higher on the chart have larger projected scoring totals, and larger bubbles represent games featuring stronger teams based on preseason win totals. The shaded upper-left portion represents the especially desirable combination of a close point spread and high expected scoring.
