Using current betting market expectations and preseason team projections, the SeeSports Watchability Index identifies the games most likely to provide an entertaining viewing experience. Rather than relying solely on rankings or reputation, the index combines several factors that contribute to compelling games, including expected competitiveness, projected scoring, and team quality.

The result is a simple visual guide that helps fans quickly identify the week's most attractive matchups.

How to Read the Viewing Board

​

The chart is designed to be interpreted at a glance.

• Games farther left are expected to be more competitive based on the betting point spread.

• Games higher on the chart have higher projected scoring based on the betting total.

• Larger markers represent stronger combined team quality, measured using each team's projected preseason win percentage.

• Colors and marker shapes identify the different kickoff windows.

• The number beside each game is its SeeSports Watchability Index, scored on a 0–100 scale.

 

In general, games located toward the upper-left corner combine the characteristics most fans enjoy: close competition between quality teams with the potential for plenty of scoring.

 

The SeeSports Watchability Index

The Watchability Index combines three components:

• 40% Projected Team Quality – based on preseason win-total expectations.

• 30% Expected Competitiveness – measured using the betting point spread.

• 30% Projected Scoring – measured using the betting total.

• ​

Games receive higher scores when they feature strong teams, relatively close projected outcomes, and higher expected scoring.

The index is designed as a viewer's guide, helping fans prioritize which games to watch throughout the weekend.
